Frequently Asked Questions
Learn more about Cabanza and skill-based real money games.

Pick a table, 1v1 or Group. Every player in it gets the identical seeded board: the same layout, the same tiles in the same places, the same hidden tiles and the same clock. Tap free tiles into the four-slot tray, where a tile that meets its match clears the pair. Standings are settled once everyone has played.
How tournaments runYes. A tournament is one seeded board at one difficulty, Easy, Medium or Hard, with a three, four or five minute clock. Covered and hidden tiles are not shown in advance, but they are the same for everyone, so what you uncover depends only on your own choices.
How the board is generatedNo. Every board is accepted only after a solver that cannot see covered or hidden tiles clears it on three separate runs, with no more than three undos, inside the time limit. You can still fill your tray through your own play, and that is the skill.
The board poolEvery pair you clear is 100 points, and pairs cleared within three seconds of each other build a streak bonus. Clear the board for a 5,000 point bonus plus 25 points for every second left on the clock. A player who clears the board always outscores one who does not.
Scoring and tiebreakersCabanza is a skill contest, not a game of chance. Every player faces the same board and the result turns on how well you play it. Cash tournaments run in select US states only, and free acorn play is available in every US state.*
